The Rally Realizes It Needs To Take A Breather 😓

Here’s What’s Happening 👇

NEWS
Congratulations Crypto, You Fixed the U.S. Dollar 🤔

Nearly 20 years after Bitcoin showed up to challenge the existing monetary system, one of crypto’s finest achievements is, annoyingly, making the U.S. dollar faster, easier to access, more liquid and considerably harder to kill. 🤦

So, congratulations everyone. We fixed the dollar. Well, fixed-ish.

$SOFI ( ▲ 1.12% ) and $MA ( ▼ 2.07% ) are now settling transactions from SoFi’s entire $25 billion debit and credit card program using SoFiUSD, a dollar-backed stablecoin issued by SoFi Bank. The transactions are live and on-chain - and the best part is merchants don’t need to hold stablecoins, change their systems or develop a sudden interest in block explorers.

Merchants can receive settlement into a SoFi Bank account instantly, withdraw cash around the clock and pay zero withdrawal fees. SoFi is already talking with large U.S. merchants about expanding the model, with cross-border payments and remittances also on the list.

There is something wonderfully backwards about crypto spending years trying to replace fiat, only to become excellent infrastructure for distributing it.

Still, credit where it’s due. SoFi is on the front line of making that infrastructure useful. Yay. 😶

NEAR And ONDO Are Making A Brokerage Account Look Optional 👀

$NEAR ( ▲ 3.11% ) is giving $ONDO ( ▼ 3.58% ) a pretty useful distribution shortcut. 🔄

NEAR Intents (which is a really cool technology) handles cross-chain execution so users can move between assets and networks without manually bridging funds around like it’s still 2021. Ondo Finance brings traditional assets like stocks, ETFs and Treasuries on-chain through tokenized products tied to the underlying securities.

The new integration connects the two. Eligible near.com users can fund an account with crypto from more than 30 networks, including Bitcoin, Solana, Zcash and Tron, then move into Ondo’s tokenized versions of stocks like NVIDIA, Tesla and Apple, along with ETFs including SPY and QQQ.

Basically, they’re cutting the distance between ‘I own crypto’ and ‘I want Apple stonk’ to one transaction.

Also, NEAR and Ondo have been on a tear lately; Since August 19th, NEAR is up nearly +200% and Ondo’s up +41% since September 16. 🎂

Fresh MCP Scan: Six Rooms Filled Over The Weekend. Two Others Already Emptied. 🚪

I pulled today's crypto trending board through Stocktwits' MCP along with anything else with a pulse. 🏥

Bitcoin ran 15% off last Wednesday's low and the board reset around it. Strict entry screen cleared zero, same as two weeks ago. What it found instead: rooms filling everywhere, two with the chairs already stacked.

It’s Early - Lean: Bullish, Watch The Volume Score

  • $WIF ( ▲ 4.41% ) - closest thing to the August setup. Sentiment 33 to 59 over 14 sessions, message volume stuck in a 10-point range the whole way.

  • $XRP ( ▲ 2.13% ) - sentiment 30 to 68, volume only back to 56. Normal. On 238,000 watchers that's a third of the crowd. New 30-day high today.

  • $BCH ( ▲ 29.29% ) - up 24% today. Sentiment 52, volume 52, seven-point range for two weeks. Nobody came to the party and the party's up 24%. That's the AVAX shape from the 9th, which went +77%. Also the shape that gets faded, for the same reason.

GTFO - Lean: Bearish

  • $NCT ( ▼ 0.52% ) - sentiment held 78 to 95 for a week while price sat 45% under its August spike. Two sessions ago: 95 to 46, volume 92 to 69. Over.

  • $HNT ( ▲ 8.35% ) - +158% on the month if you count from before the spike, -38% if you don't. Volume score: 9. Not a typo. Is there a word that is more empty than empty? Because this room doesn’t appear just empty. More like condemned.

Room Filled This Weekend - Lean: Still Going, Adding Is Iffy, Clock's Running

The Trap - Lean: Leave It

  • $TONIC ( ▼ 14.47% ) - sentiment 12 to 60 while volume drained 95 to 21. Minds changing, nobody arriving. Price -58% off the high and -13% today. Improving mood into a downtrend? Meh, not right now. 😶

Anchorage Digital Gives Layer Zero A Win 👍

Anchorage Digital has picked $ZRO ( ▲ 18.19% ) as its preferred interoperability partner for stablecoins issued through Anchorage Digital Bank, giving LayerZero a direct role in moving institutionally issued stablecoins across chains. Tether’s USAT is first up, using LayerZero’s OFT standard, with Ethereum, EVM networks and Solana in the future. 🗺

If you’re wondering why I said LayerZero needed a win, it’s because of what happened earlier this year: In April, KelpDAO’s LayerZero-powered rsETH bridge was exploited for roughly $292 million after attackers compromised LayerZero Labs’ RPC infrastructure and abused a 1-of-1 verifier setup.

LayerZero later apologized for its communications and admitted it should not have allowed its own DVN to serve as the sole verifier for high-value transfers. The company has also spent the year trimming support for lower-activity chains and testnets.

If LayerZero wants the stablecoin interoperability business, this is the kind of customer it needs. 👍

🧾 Polygon Finally Gives Stablecoins A Subscription Button

Polygon OMS now lets customers approve recurring stablecoin payments once, then allows businesses to collect within preset limits, scope, billing periods, and expiry dates. The wallet checks every request onchain, and customers can revoke permission whenever they want. It is the crypto version of a stored card, minus giving some merchant server a permanent set of house keys. Polygon.

🎁 Injective USDC Can Now Buy Gift Cards Through Bitrefill

Injective USDC can now fund purchases from Bitrefill’s catalog of more than 8,000 products across 180-plus countries. LI.FI Pay handles the swaps and bridging between Injective and whatever asset Bitrefill accepts, with users approving the route in MetaMask. That reaches DoorDash, Amazon, eSIMs, and phone refills, though gift cards remain crypto’s favorite trench coat for ordinary payments. Injective.

📊 CME Gives BCH And UNI The Full Futures Treatment

CME plans to launch Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures on October 19, pending regulatory review. Contracts come in 250 and 25 BCH sizes, plus 10,000 and 1,000 UNI sizes. CME’s existing crypto suite averaged 279,800 daily contracts worth $8.3 billion in H1, so these are additions to a real market, not a brochure. CME.

🧪 Carbon’s Split Ranges Beat Concentrated Liquidity By 120x

Interesting? Yes. Using 1,000 USDT across CELO/USDT from January 1 to September 19, Carbon’s simulator returned 33.61% for its recurring strategy versus 0.28% for concentrated liquidity. The difference came from buying below 0.078 and selling above 0.082 instead of trading one overlapping range. That is roughly 120x better, though one backtest is evidence. Bancor.

🛑 Hyperliquid Discovers Trailing Stops In The Year 2026

How was this not already there? Hyperliquid finally added trailing stops for perpetual markets, a feature traditional trading platforms have treated as basic furniture for decades. The trigger follows favorable mark-price moves, then fires a market order after the chosen dollar or percentage retracement. Hyperliquid.

🧱 Casper Makes The Upgradeability Case Against XRPL

Ya, this one seems kind of weird. Anyway, Casper’s comparison with XRPL comes down to where application logic parks. XRPL relies on protocol features and network amendments, while Casper lets issuers update WASM contracts, compliance rules, and cryptography without replacing contract state. Casper targets hybrid post-quantum accounts in 2027, one year before XRPL’s stated migration target. Casper Network.

💵 WEMIX Starts Paying Claims From The WEMIX$ Incident

WEMIX has compensated eligible holders and incident-period traders, while liquidity providers must file individual claims. Holders and losing traders receive eqWEMIX$, redeemable 1:1 for USDC.e; PNIX DEX sellers receive PLAY. Exchanging eqWEMIX$ requires a wallet transfer plus a support ticket, with weekly batches taking up to 10 business days. WeMix.

🕶️ Zano Builds A Transparent Exit Ramp From Its Private Chain

Zano’s default privacy kept exchanges and DEX vaults from verifying balances, leaving liquidity dependent on shrinking middlemen. Hard Fork 6 added transparent Gateway Addresses, while Thorchain and Near Intents integrations are underway. Planned EVM chain ZEL would connect ZANO to Ethereum, Base, and DeFi without changing the private L1. Zano.
