Crypto Is Sitting In The Back Of Class Hoping Nobody Calls On It 🙋

Here’s What’s Happening 👇

NEWS
The Rent Is Too Damn High, So Injective Made It A Perp 🏠

$INJ ( ▲ 0.85% ) launched the Super Intelligence Compute Index (SICI) on mainnet today. Strip off the sci-fi name and it's an index of what it costs to rent an Nvidia GPU for an hour, trading as a perp with up to 10x leverage, margined in USDC. 🖥️

What's in the basket? Five $NVDA ( ▲ 2.39% ) chips at fixed weights, with the H100 carrying 40%. The RTX 4090 gets 10%. Injective says it tracks inference demand leaking down to smaller builders.

London's LO:TECH builds it from hourly marketplace quotes, and the published number is a trailing seven-day average, so one weird hour can't yank it around. This is a rent index, not a chip price index.

Who wants that? AI developers get squeezed when compute is scarce, and GPU providers get squeezed when rent falls. Meanwhile the big labs lock up capacity years in advance. It's Dune with silicon instead of spice - he who controls the compute controls the universe, and now there's a perp for it. 🏜️

Ripple Wants Your Company's Cash Working Weekends 💼

Speaking of XRP, Ripple rolled out an always-on upgrade to Ripple Treasury at Swell today. That's the old GTreasury, which Ripple bought last year for $1 billion. The headliner is 24/7 Returns, which lets eligible companies earn on operating cash that would otherwise sit idle overnight, on weekends and over holidays. 🏦

How? Park eligible digital assets, $RLUSD ( ▼ 0.02% ) included, in a Ripple wallet, and Ripple handles the infrastructure so the finance team never touches it.

Also in the box: an orchestration layer that ties cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity and payments together, plus GSmart, Ripple Treasury's in-house AI (ya I have no idea what the hell that even is). The names $AAL ( ▲ 0.74% ), Subway and Christian Louboutin without saying who's using the new returns feature.

Ripple cites the AFP's 2026 liquidity survey, where 86% of treasury pros said they'd pick real-time money market funds if they cleared investment policy. Pair that with Aviva's tokenized fund above and Ripple's having a day. 🌊

Aviva's Biggest Fund Gets A Blockchain Body Double 🎭

Aviva Investors launched a tokenized share class of its £22 billion Sterling Liquidity Fund on XRP Ledger today, built with Ripple. It's the firm's largest fund, running since 2002, and now a slice of it lives on $XRP ( ▲ 0.01% )'s home chain. 🇬🇧

How do you put a 24-year-old British money fund on a blockchain without breaking it? You don't move the fund. A "digital twin" puts the holdings on-chain while the regular structure stays put, and token holders get the same objective, risk profile and protections.

Now, the size. Aviva put £50 million ($66 million) of its own money into the new share class, about a quarter of one percent of the fund.

Also, it's the second one, after a USD Liquidity Fund share class in July. Across both, Aviva's tokenized total tops £86 million, which it says makes it one of Europe's largest tokenized money market fund providers.

Meanwhile, Stocktwits sentiment on XRP is sitting in extremely bearish territory, and one user compared the coin to an empty mall full of vape shops. A £273 billion asset manager just leased a storefront anyway. 🏬

Cahero Heritage Brings The Infinity Stones To Polygon 💎

Cahero Heritage announced three security tokens today, each backed by a vaulted gemstone collection it says is appraised at a combined $7.05 billion. Thanos needed six stones. Alfonso Cahero has 408 parcels and a Polygon contract. 🧤

The tokens - EMRL.D for emeralds, RUBY.D for rubies and SPHR.D for sapphires - each sit in their own Delaware LLC that Cahero owns outright, minted as ERC-20s on $POL ( ▲ 0.72% ) with a billion units apiece.

The emerald collection is 136 stones appraised at $2.46 billion, an average of about $18 million per emerald. All three together would be close to a third of the entire tokenized RWA market, per the release's own DeFiLlama figure.

Stuff Not In The Presser

  • Who did the appraisals. Values run to the penny, appraisers go unnamed.

  • Which vault. It's an independent depository in the United States.

  • Pricing, minimums or a launch date. 💎

💳 Reap Brings Stablecoin Cards To Monad

Reap added Monad so issuers can check a stablecoin balance inside the card authorization window instead of prefunding accounts. Meru, a stablecoin app running from Bolivia to Spain, is first to launch a card on it through Reap's Visa programs. The target is Latin America, where Chainalysis says stablecoins made up 61% of Mexico's crypto flows in the year to June. Payward.

🐻 Berachain Walks Through Its Stablecoin Menu

Berachain's (yup, they’re still around) stablecoin explainer talks about HONEY, the native coin users mint by depositing USDC or pyUSD into vaults, with governance deciding what else counts as collateral. Chain dashboards put BYUSD and pyUSD ahead of HONEY and USDC in circulating supply. Berachain.

🔄 1inch Puts Tokenized Stocks In Its Swap API

1inch opened its Swap API to tokenized RWAs, so any wallet or app can offer tokenized stocks through the same endpoints it already uses for crypto. The list currently includes Ondo, xStocks, Maple and Coinbase's tokenized stonks on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base and Robinhood Chain. Ondo's RWAs already cleared $2.5 billion in volume on 1inch this year, so somebody's clearly using them. 1inch.

🥇 Bitget Plans A Token For A Gold Token Company

Bitget and Reality plan to launch rAURE, a token backed 1:1 by shares of Nasdaq-listed Aurelion, whose main treasury asset is Tether Gold. That's a token of a stock of a company holding a token of gold.... Between this and Cahero's emeralds, everybody's raiding the jewelry box today, and nobody's set a launch date yet. Bitget.

🏛️ Kraken's Parent Wants To Run US Perps On Hyperliquid

Payward plans to be the first CFTC-regulated deployer on HIP-3*, a permissioned add-on to Hyperliquid's builder-deployed markets that's only on testnet so far. If regulators sign off, its Bitnomial exchange would create and clear the perps while NinjaTrader Clearing carries US client accounts. Also: hey, that’s two Payward headlines in one newsletter. Hyperliquid.

🗄️ Derive Sticks With Celestia For V3

Derive, which handles about 95% of on-chain options premium volume, is keeping Celestia as its data layer after its V3 upgrade. Every batch's state diff lands on Celestia, so if Derive ever goes dark, users can still rebuild balances and withdraw through Ethereum. Its CTO says fitting Celestia's client inside the zkVM was "substantially simpler" than expected, which is the nicest thing anyone has said about this turd of a ticker in a long time. Celestia.

❄️ Hydra v2 Reruns The Glacier Drop Nearly Twice As Fast

Input Output replayed 24,576 real claims from last year's Midnight Glacier Drop on Hydra v2 and got 79 claims per second versus 42 on the old version, finishing in 43% less time. The team also admits the 2025 setup took six people a week of comparing flags by hand. Most relatable thing in crypto this month. IOG.

⏸️ Ethereum Pulls Glamsterdam Off Hoodi's Calendar

Glamsterdam was supposed to hit the Hoodi testnet today, but core devs postponed it with no new date to dig into how EIP-8037 interacts with mainnet smart contracts. That also shelves the 200M gas limit bump that was riding along. Cardano's L2 got nearly twice as fast and Ethereum's next upgrade got slower, so it's a lopsided week for scaling news. Ethereum Foundation.

🗳️ Dash Platform 5 Heads For Mainnet

Dash Platform 5.0 is slated for mainnet today and locks in Friday if more than 67% of evonodes sign off, with activation on November 8. It adds shielded pools for any token, elected moderation teams for apps, sponsored gas and documents that expire on a timer. Name rules also block anyone from registering "B0B" once "Bob" exists, so the impersonators will have to get creative. Dash.
