Crypto Got A Bit Of Swagger Back - Pawn Shop Rolex Energy, But Still 🕺
Maybe not premium confidence. More like counterfeit optimism with decent lighting.
OVERVIEW
Crypto Got A Bit Of Swagger Back - Pawn Shop Rolex Energy, But Still 🕺

Here’s What’s Happening 👇️
Here's a number worth keeping: 43 out of the top 50 cryptos finished green today. The worst performer was $XMR ( ▲ 0.17% ) at -1.68%. $BTC ( ▲ 0.86% ) held just under $75k, which is still the wall it hasn't cleared, but the market didn't need it to lead today. $AAVE ( ▲ 8.42% ) ran 10%, $PEPE ( ▲ 3.02% ) ran 6%, and even the stuff that usually needs a reason to move found one.
Before we dive in, here’s today’s crypto crypto’s total market and altcoin market cap charts:

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
Nail Biting Technicals Here 😰
From an Ichimoku perspective, the Total Market Cap daily chart is setting up for one of the most sought after bullish entry setups within the Ichimoku system: the Ideal Bullish Ichimoku Breakout.
All of the conditions for that setup to be considered true will occur when the daily candlestick closes above the Cloud. Today, that would require a close above $2.52T. For tomorrow (April 16), that drops to $2.45T.
If bulls can pull that off, it will be the first Ideal Bullish Ichimoku breakout since July 25, 2025. So if you’re a bull: fingers crossed.
There is one spot on the chart both bulls and bears should pay special attention to, and that’s the Kumo Twist that occurs on April 17 - 18. Kumo Twists are a sort of resistance in time to the trend in force and serve as big ‘heads up’. But if price is trading near the price level of the Kumo Twist itself ($2.4T) - then things can get interesting.
My kids haven’t seen the second Mario movie yet, but here’s a Mario reference: the actual price level of the Kumo Twist is like hitting a mushroom in Mario Kart. Not only is it easy to move higher/lower, but the speed and violence of the move is often dramatic, too.
So keep your eyes open. 👓️

Bitwise Wraps AVAX in an ETF, Throws In the Staking Rewards 👍️
Bitwise rolled out the Bitwise Avalanche ETF $BAVA ( 0.0% ) today. The fund stakes its AVAX holdings in-house through Bitwise Onchain Solutions, targeting Avalanche's average 5.4% staking yield while trying to preserve redemption liquidity. 🏂️
$AVAX ( ▲ 1.12% ) ’s $4.1 billion market cap makes it mid-tier by crypto standards, but its subnet architecture has pulled in a real customer list:
FIFA's collectibles platform (with 2026 World Cup ticket options),
Wyoming's Frontier stablecoin (the first state-issued stablecoin in the U.S.),
New Jersey's business licensing pilot,
Toyota's supply chain work,
Tokenization initiatives from KKR, Apollo, SkyBridge, and BlackRock.
Japan's first regulated stablecoin and Korea's first won-denominated stablecoin both run on Avalanche too.
CIO Matt Hougan framed BAVA as the on-ramp to enterprise blockchain exposure. Anthony Scaramucci, whose SkyBridge tokenized its funds on Avalanche, compared the move to switching from paper mail to encrypted messaging.
Let’s see what the inflows look like after a couple weeks. 👀

MEXC Wants To Be More Than Just A Crypto Casino 🎰
MEXC’s latest Q1 report came out yesterday and it’s the usual exchange victory parade, but buried under the chest-thumping is a trend worth watching. 📰
The platform says TradFi futures volume jumped 246% in the first quarter, with traders piling into gold, silver, crude oil, stock futures, and index products while macro volatility kept everyone mildly unwell. It also added 399 new token listings, rolled out 105 tokenized stock pairs through $ONDO ( ▲ 3.13% ) .
How does the surge of 246% from January to March in TradFi futures compared to their ‘normal’ crypto volume? They didn’t disclose the actual dollar volume, so there’s no clear way to compare it with its reported $1.999 billion in daily spot crypto volume. 🔢

RWA
Tokenized Dirt 🪨
I thought this was an interesting RWA story. This one comes from Datavault AI and AgSensor. They want to identify, value, and tokenize agricultural data tied to soil health, carbon, sustainability, and regenerative farming. 🧑🌾
On paper, that sounds like somebody tried to put a cornfield in a wallet app, but the idea’s pretty solid. Farms and ag-tech platforms generate mountains of data, and most of it just sits there like an unpaid intern.
If this works, that information could become a real asset class with clearer pricing, new revenue streams, and broader investor access to food security and sustainability trends.
And it would help farmers.
Weird? A little. Cool? Yes. 😎

Every year (for the past four years), I like to change things up a little. Then I ask for feedback from the saltiest group of salty readers out there. 🤦
The results have been great! The News In Three Sentences is popular, on-chain analysis and interpretation is a hit, and some other smaller changes have been the result of you telling me what you like.
Or don’t like. Sometimes in very mean ways. How mean? Like walking-two-blocks-to-the-liquor-store-but-then-feeling-better-mean.

👔 AGI’s “Father” Says Learn to Be Human
ASI’s Dr. Ben Goertzel says human-level AGI could arrive within 2 to 3 years and, after a transition period, wipe out most jobs. His survival kit is not some trendy software stack - it is relationship-building, rapid adaptability, and being comfortable with yourself beyond work. After decades of career advice about optimizing résumés, the fallback plan might be eye contact and emotional stability. Artificial Superintelligence.
🤖 Agent0 Gives AI Agents a Reputation Layer,
The Graph is now indexing ERC-8004 and Agent0 registries across Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad, and Polygon, so developers can query agent identity, capabilities, reputation, and validation data in milliseconds. That makes it easier to build agent marketplaces, discovery tools, dashboards, and agent-to-agent hiring flows without scraping raw chain events like a maniac. Even the open agent economy needed a Yelp page eventually. The Graph.

1inch Wallet’s new Web3 browser adds tabs, better navigation, bookmarks, history, safer search, and typo protection for lookalike domains. Fewer broken sessions, fewer accidental exits, and less friction between finding a dApp and actually signing something. Amazing what happens when a wallet remembers that the browser is supposed to help, not cosplay as an obstacle course. 1inch.
